Gumpo

Gumpo are absolutely storming “the one minutes junior” film competition. You can see there immense offering here, at the moment, you can’t vote for them at school, so remember to go home and vote for them.

Tom Hillman’s description of the film:
A girl’s life is destroyed after many disasters and she decides to end it as she can’t cope any longer. She climbs up a cliff and prepares herself for her final moments. She calmly steps off and plunges into the sea below. Underwater, as she feels life drifting away, she remembers all the good things that have happened to her, and that life is worth living for. But has she made this decision too late?

Hamdev of course wish Gumpo all the best of luck and hope they win the whole competition! Good Luck!

Gumpo

For those of you that don’t know, Gumpo is a film making group from lots of the theatrical people at school – including the likes of Susannah Knights, Emma Jane Ball, Amy Livingstone, Tom Hillman, Matthew Coombes, Joe Rodd etc. Their current project, as far as I can understand it, involves Amy jumping off a lido in a night dress and also some greenscreen flying. I think what they’re doing (strange as it may first seem) and what they’re trying to achieve with their group is actually really good and innovative. I’m behind them completely.

I had an idea, (though I’ve yet to actually ask them, so if you’re reading, Gumpo, think about it) this year I want Hamdev to become something a bit better known. So, I feel some advertising is in need. Shame I didn’t think about promoting Hamdev in my Business Studies coursework. Anyway, you all know, that there are now 5 parts of Hamdev (shown here). There are also 5 days in a school week. I was thinking one advert of about 5 minutes (maybe longer) per day during lunch, using the new big screen thing. So, there’d be five, different, adverts – advertising the five different sections of hamdev. The only problem I can see is getting the permission to use that screen, and even advertise at all. I’m certain I could get permission to use it during Charity Week though.
I think the whole process could be really good fun, and quite productive. Gumpo keep wanting to involve me and all of them (I think) have used hamdev in one way or another. As well as advertising hamdev, of course, Gumpo would get their fair share of advertising too.

Anyway, Big Brother should be good this evening. Only two weeks left, which feels weird. For those of you that don’t watch the show (shame on you) four of the evicted housemates are being voted back in to the secret house tonight. On Friday, one of these housemates will move back into the real house and be able to win the £100,000 prize money in the final next week. The bookies favourite to go back in is Nikki. I hope they’re right, I don’t know how on earth she got evicted in the first place. Nikki to win. Goto Channel 4‘s Big Brother site for more.

That’s it for now though. See ya later.
